Assisting Lucara Diamond with 2015 GRI reporting

Prizma has been re-engaged to assist Lucara Diamond Corp. (Lucara),  PDAC’s  2016 Environmental and Social Responsibility Award winner, with its GRI-G4 based sustainability reporting efforts for the 2015 reporting cycle.

Prizma has been supporting Lucara since the company started its sustainability reporting journey in 2012.

Recently, Lucara made diamond history with the recovery of a gem-quality 1,111 carat diamond from its Karowe Diamond Mine in Botswana. This magnificent stone is the world’s second largest gem quality diamond ever recovered. Following a competition, the stone was named Lesedi La Rona Diamond (meaning "Our Light" in Setswana, the national language of Botswana).

Also, the Prospector and Developer Association of Canada (PDAC) recently selected Lucara to be the recipient of PDAC’s  2016 Environmental and Social Responsibility Award. This award honors an individual or organization demonstrating outstanding initiative, leadership and accomplishment in protecting and preserving the natural environment and/or in establishing good community relations during an exploration program or operation of a mine.

Prizma has been supporting Lucara since the company started its sustainability reporting journey in 2012. In addition to a fruitful collaboration with Lucara over the years, Prizma has been assisting numerous other companies with their sustainability reporting efforts.
