Following successful courses delivered in London (hosted by Parsons Brinkerhoff on 21 Sept) and Toronto (hosted by TD Bank on 29 Oct), Prizma was commissioned by a confidential client to deliver a 1-day training courses on the Equator Principles (EPIII or EP3) and the IFC Performance Standards (2012) on December 19th, 2013 in Europe. The course hosted by TD Bank on October 29, 2013 in Toronto was successfully delivered by the following presenters:

Mehrdad Nazari, Senior ESIA & CSR Advisor, Prizma LLC, has over 20 years of experience in environmental, social and CSR risk assessment and due diligence. Mr. Nazari was previously Principal Environmental Specialist at the European Bank (EBRD), focused on an investment portfolio exceeding $2 billion; CSR Research Director at CoreRatings (previously Fitch, now DNV), advising SRI/asset managers; and Project Manager with Dames & Moore (now URS). He studied geosciences (MSc) and business administration (MBA) in Germany, USA (Fulbright) and the UK. Mr. Nazari is also a Fellow of Rockefeller Foundation’s LEAD program.

Dr. William Kennedy, Advisor to Millennium Challenge Corp., Adjunct Professor, Concordia University, Senior Associate, McGill University, over 30 years of experience. Dr. Kennedy is currently an ESIA advisor to the MCC, supporting environmental due diligence and public consultation on industrial, agricultural and transport projects in Africa. Previously, Dr. Kennedy was the Executive Director of the North American Commission for Environmental Cooperation, and Head of the Environmental Policy and Strategy Unit of the European Bank. Recently, Dr. Kennedy carried out a review of Canadian Equator Banks for the Canadian Commissioner for Environment and Sustainable Development.

Graham G. Clow, Chairman and Principal Mining Engineer at RPA, is a senior mining executive with 40 years’ experience in all aspects of acquisitions, exploration, feasibility, finance, development, construction, operations, and closure. He leads RPA’s due diligence and M&A practice, bringing together experienced teams to assess and advise on projects worldwide. Prior to joining RPA, Mr. Clow spent more than 20 years in senior executive and operating positions with publicly listed mining companies. He is Past Chairman of the Metal Mining Division of the Canadian Institute of Mining, Metallurgy, and Petroleum (CIM), and was a Member of the Committee on Ore Reserve Definitions. Mr. Clow is a Fellow of CIM and has been awarded the Metal Mining Award for contributions to the industry.
